Wiley University Launches the Divine Nine Give Back Challenge Ahead of Homecoming 2025

Announcements
Jun 12, 2025

Marshall, TX – Wiley University proudly announces the launch of the Divine Nine Give Back Challenge, a high-impact fundraising campaign that calls on members of the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) to demonstrate their unity, pride, and unwavering commitment to student success. This initiative is more than a competition—it’s a chance to help shape the future of Wiley University students and honor the shared legacy of Black excellence and service that defines the Divine Nine.

Running now through Saturday, October 25, 2025, the campaign encourages Divine Nine chapters, alumni, and supporters to raise funds in support of scholarships, academic programs, and student-focused initiatives. The organization that raises the most money will be honored on the field during the Homecoming 2025 Halftime Show and will also earn a place in the Wiley University Giving Societies, joining a distinguished group of donors who are making lasting impacts on the university. To learn more about Wiley’s Giving Societies, visit www.wileyc.edu/wiley-university-giving-societies.

This year’s Homecoming theme—“Back to the Yard: The Purple and White Experience”—adds powerful meaning to this challenge. For generations, the Divine Nine have brought energy, purpose, and legacy to Wiley’s yard. Now, as we return in celebration, this challenge calls on Greek-lettered alumni and supporters to come back not only to reconnect, but to reinvest. It’s a celebration of tradition—and an opportunity to pay it forward.

If you’ve ever worn Greek letters with pride, marched for change, or stood for something bigger than yourself—this is your moment. Your gift today will open doors for students who are following in your footsteps, building on your legacy, and preparing to lead. It’s not just about giving back; it’s about showing up for the next generation.

To participate, visit www.wileyc.edu/organization-challenge, make your donation, and be sure to credit your organization. Stay engaged by spreading the word, activating your network, and joining biweekly Zoom check-ins every other Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM CST to track progress and celebrate campaign milestones.

All proceeds directly support student scholarships, academic enrichment, leadership development, and student-centered campus experiences that define Wiley University’s legacy. This is your opportunity to make a lasting impact and uplift the mission of one of America’s most historic HBCUs.
