Distinguished Professor of Business and MBA Program Coordinator at Wiley University

A nationally recognized entrepreneur and educator, Professor Simmons builds bridges between innovation, impact, and leadership. A Stanford Law and UC Berkeley graduate, he was named to Houston Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” and is a frequent speaker on entrepreneurship and the economy of the future.

Professor Simmons helped scale a deep-tech venture capital firm from $100 million to over $1 billion in assets and led global expansion at an energy tech company serving clients across five continents. He has advised many innovative ventures, including a hypersonic technology developer, where he joined as the first outside board member and led Series Seed and Series A funding rounds. Appointed by Texas Governor Greg Abbott and unanimously confirmed by the Texas Senate, Brandon serves as Chairman of the Board of Regents at Texas Southern University. Professor Simmons has created critically acclaimed curricula, including the startup series Common Parts Robots Corporation and the economics series Citizen Chen.
