MARSHALL, Texas - Wiley University junior and Miss National UNCF Jordan Dansby will once again add to her impressive academic portfolio by participating in two extraordinary experiences—one with PROPEL, the first-of-its-kind global innovation hub for HBCUs, and the other with the 2024 Urban One Honors on TVOne.

This will be the second year Dansby has been chosen for a dynamic experiential learning opportunity with PROPEL. This year, she was one of 40 student finalists selected to visit Apple Headquarters in Cupertino, CA, as part of a new PROPEL Apprenticeship.

In addition, Dansby will travel to Atlanta, GA, to serve as a student presenter for the 6th Annual Urban One Honors award show broadcasting on February 25 on TVONE.

She was selected after submitting a video that showcased her extraordinary talent and success as a student at Wiley University. In Dansby’s time at Wiley University, the junior has a long list of accomplishments, alongside being an academically gifted student, she is serving as the 10th straight Miss Wiley UNCF to win National Miss UNCF. She was also a Freedom Project student director and producer for the film 1700 Miles: A Journey to Explore Freedom (The Story Continues). She is a former WU volleyball player. Her commitment to her education has generated a unique attitude that embodies the institution’s motto- Go Forth Inspired.

“I do these things because I love helping others and sharing my love for Wiley and its impact on my life. I have received so much support from the campus community. My professors push me and encourage me, and I truly appreciate it,” Miss Jordan Dansby

Dr. Tashia Bradley, Wiley University's Chief Operating Officer, said the University is incredibly proud of Dansby’s accomplishments. “Miss Dansby is a shining example of what we expect our students to experience at Wiley University,” Dr. Bradley said. “She is ambitious and goal-driven; we couldn’t be more pleased with her success, accomplishments, and how she represents our great University. She is an extraordinary student and has a very bright future ahead of her.”

Dansby is a Mass Communications major from Phoenix, Ariz., who will graduate in May 2025.
