Alumni of the Month

Wiley University Alumni of the Month:

Rachid M. Sow, Class of 2012
Entrepreneur. Humanitarian. Advocate. Wildcat Forever.

Wiley University is proud to celebrate Rachid M. Sow, Class of 2012, as our Alumnus of the Month for May 2025. Rachid is a dynamic force in business, philanthropy, real estate, and global service—an extraordinary example of the leadership, tenacity, and heart that define Wiley alumni.

Born with a visionary mindset and shaped by his time at Wiley University, Rachid’s journey is one of resilience, bold ambition, and a steadfast commitment to lifting others as he climbs. He graduated from Wiley University with a degree in Computer Information Systems and used every moment on campus as a springboard for purpose.

As a student, Rachid distinguished himself as a two-sport athlete and campus leader. On the basketball court, he earned recognition as Defensive Player of the Year. On the soccer field, he made history. Rachid was not only a founding advocate for the creation of Wiley University’s soccer program—he also became a standout defensive player on the inaugural team. His pioneering efforts gave rise to opportunities for future Wildcats and laid the foundation for a now-thriving athletic program.

But Rachid’s impact at Wiley extended well beyond athletics. He co-founded the International Club, a student organization that remains active today, promoting cultural exchange, inclusivity, and global awareness. His commitment to unity through diversity was equally visible in the kitchen, where his culinary creativity earned him the top prize in Wiley University’s first International Food Contest—a title he would go on to win multiple times.

Today, Rachid Sow is a multi-faceted entrepreneur, actor, producer, real estate professional, and the founder of several successful ventures, including Worldwide Exchange, Sashid Enterprises, The Group Sow, and 3RD EYE Consulting—a firm that has helped Fortune 500 companies increase revenue and improve customer satisfaction across the country. His strategic vision, grounded in innovation and rooted in service, has made him a sought-after leader in both the business and consulting worlds.

Equally powerful is Rachid’s work as a philanthropist. Through the Sow Family Foundation, he has spearheaded global initiatives that provide clean water, educational support, and vital resources to underserved communities in the United States, Africa, and Colombia. His foundation champions causes such as homelessness prevention, refugee support, and breast cancer awareness—reflecting his belief that true success is measured by how much we give, not how much we have.

Despite his achievements, Rachid remains grounded in faith, family, and legacy. He is a devoted family man whose actions are inspired by love, service, and pride in the Sow name. His drive to uplift those around him is a living reflection of the Wiley spirit.

Rachid Sow is not just an accomplished alumnus—he is a changemaker whose story continues to inspire generations of Wildcats. We honor him this month and always for carrying the Wiley legacy into boardrooms, communities, and hearts around the globe.
