The Center for Workforce Development and Future of Work is dedicated to equipping Wiley University students and East Texas and Louisiana community members with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in today’s workforce.

Housed in the historic Pemberton High School, a landmark acquired and renovated by Wiley University, the Center for Workforce Development and the Future of Work, operates from a beautifully restored facility that blends rich history with modern learning environments. Originally built in 1924, Pemberton High School served as an educational cornerstone for the African American/Black community in Marshall, Texas. Today, its revitalized spaces provide state-of-the-art training facilities and workspace for the Center, the Newtown Neighborhood Community, and members of the East Texas and Louisiana community.
