A Message from the 16th President  of Wiley College, Dr. Haywood L. Strickland

Greetings and Welcome to the Wiley College 2012 Homecoming Website!

Students, alumni, and friends of Wiley College are in high spirits about this year's homecoming festivities. The Homecoming Committee has planned a dynamic week of activities that I know you will take delight in attending. We look forward to your presence and to the fellowship we will enjoy with you.

When I first came to Wiley in 2000, the enrollment was fewer than 600 students. In this, the academic year during which we will celebrate 140 years of continually operating as an exceptional institution of higher learning, we have experienced a record enrollment of 1,401 students. We have expanded the physical plant to include a new and modern living learning center to keep pace with our escalating student population. When you tour the campus, you will be proud of the transformation that is taking place at Wiley.

I am confident that you will continue to embrace the powerful heritage and legacy that many of you contributed to during your years at Wiley, and celebrate the improvements that your generous gifts helped to make possible.
