THE AREA OF STUDENT LIFE

Welcome to the web pages of Wiley College’s Student Life Program. The area of Student Life is one of the major components of the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Services. The Associate Vice President for Student Life reports to the Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Services and assists in providing support in the accomplishment of the academic and student affairs missions. The College embraces the philosophy that learning takes place in a variety of settings and activities, and that value is added to academic success in the classroom when students have opportunities for growth and development in out-of-classroom educational settings.

Units in Student Life include the offices of Student Activities, Campus Ministry, Residence Life and Health Services. These offices have implemented a variety of programs that promote students’ wellness and intellectual, spiritual and social development. Increased opportunities for student input and leadership roles are hallmarks of the Division and, likewise, are central to program planning in Student Life.

The Student Life staff is supportive, friendly and excited about assisting you in becoming involved in co-curricular programs and activities at Wiley College. If you are currently a student, you are encouraged to become involved in leadership and personal development activities offered through one of the clubs, activities offered through the Student Government Association (SGA), Wellness Center, residence centers, Campus Ministry, intramural sports, or other available activities that interest you.

If you are not currently enrolled and want to learn more about Wiley College, we invite you to visit the Admissions web page. Also, if you have already decided to join the Wiley family, then you are encouraged to complete the online application. You will be contacted by one of our admission counselors within 24 hours.

Should you have questions after having reviewed the information on Student Life, you may contact the related office, or the Office of the Associate Vice President for Student Life by telephone (903.927.3229) or electronically (mmelbert@wileyc.edu).

Again, we are pleased with your interest in Wiley College and its programs.

Marian M. Elbert, Ed. D.
Associate Vice President for Student Life
