Wiley College is ready for a new school year to begin. The College will host opening activities for new students beginning the morning of Saturday, August 18, 2012, with enrollment check-in in Alumni Gymnasium, followed by New Student and Parent Orientation at 1 p.m. in the Julius S. Scott Sr. Chapel. There will be a worship service Sunday, August 19, 2012, at 9 a.m in the Julius S. Scott Sr. Chapel and a brunch in the Fred T. Long Student Union Building will immediately follow the service. Students will spend Sunday afternoon attending a financial literacy workhop and academic advising sessions. Registration and placement testing activities will take place Monday, August 20 through Tuesday, August 21.
Some new students have already been on the campus for activities this summer! Wiley hosted VISIT-US, an early registration and enrollment orientation program in June and July for 166 new students.
VISIT-US helps students make a smooth transition to college life. During VISIT-US, students select courses, tour the campus, and meet fellow classmates. Students also meet with faculty and administrators, and take necessary placement exams.
Fall classes will begin Wednesday, August 22.
