WILEY CAPTURES RRAC VOLLEYBALL TITLE

Wiley's volleyball team captured its first-ever Red River Athletic Conference Tournament championship by defeating No. 1 seed Southwestern Assemblies of God on Saturday, November 15 in Austin, 3-2 (22-25, 25-23, 20-25, 25-11, 17-15).
In the process, the Lady Wildcats (32-7) earned a trip to the 2008 NAIA National Championship, also their first in school history. The opening round of the national tournament will begin Saturday, November 22.
Wiley made its way to the championship match by winning a thrilling, come-from-behind affair over Texas Wesleyan, 3-2 (21-25, 20-25, 25-21, 29-27, 15-11), during Friday's semifinals.
