Foundation has extended its deadline until December 17 for students to apply
for a $1,200 scholarship that will be awarded to 12 students from
historically black colleges and universities. To apply, students must
submit a 200-word essay. The topic is “Describe your most memorable
community service or activity to combat hunger.”Full-time students with a
cumulative grade point average of 2.5 to 4.0 are eligible to apply. Students

Original, signed, and
date-stamped fall 2014 grades are due in the Registrar’s office by noon on
Friday, December 19.
Dr. Sherlynn Byrd, Dean,
Social Sciences and Humanities, and Dr. Alexander V. Marriott, Assistant
Professor of History, today announced that the College
will host an inter-disciplinary conference for the humanities at Wiley College
on April 9, 2015. They invite faculty to encourage “advanced and aspiring
undergraduates” to submit papers for the conference. They also invite faculty to submit poster proposals for a Pedagogy Research and
Application poster session.
