HBCU League Coordinator


The primary goal of the HBCU League Coordinator is to insure the smooth daily operation of the newly created HBCU League.  The HBCU League will assist in the creation of new forensics programs at HBCUs, starting in Texas.  Initially, the HBCU League will operate eight league tournaments throughout the State of Texas and an HBCU National Championship Tournament.  The Coordinator will be responsible for the management of all league tournaments and the HBCU National Championship, coaching of sponsors or directors from newly formed programs, assist in fundraising efforts, marketing, and potentially coaching students from newly formed teams until such time that a sponsor or director may be appointed.

A combination of six years of successful competitive and/or coaching experience required on the high school or collegiate level. Bachelor’s degree but Master’s or higher preferred.  Extensive knowledge of forensics rules, procedures, judging standards, forensics pedagogy, and team management methodologies.  Prior experience in tournament management or administration required.
