Position: Financial Reporting Manager

Salary: Commensurate with Experience

The Financial Reporting Manager will be preparing most internal and external reports from the Division of Business and Finance.  This position is accountable for timely and accurate preparation of monthly and annual Financial Statements - statement of position, statement of activities, statement of cash flows, calculation of debt service coverage, ratio and composite score calculations, and special requests. This position is accountable for the maintenance of the supporting General Ledgers. This position also has day-to-day oversight of pledges, in-kind gift reporting, and recording of capital projects.

The successful candidate will have Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance from an accredited college or university. Knowledge of higher education accounting, strong analytical, organizational, planning, and budgeting skills required.  Three to five years of previous experience in accounting or accounting-based systems, advanced knowledge of web-based relational application software systems, advanced knowledge of the use of spreadsheets, database software, query and report writing tools.  Knowledge of Jenzabar Finance is strongly desired.

Wiley College invites applications for the position of Associate Director of Institutional Research, Planning, Assessment and Effectiveness.  The Associate Director of Institutional Research, Planning, Assessment and Effectiveness is responsible for developing and maintaining a cycle of regular institutional studies, archival files, and key indicators to support recurring decision needs of the College; administering and analyzing various institutional surveys and outcomes assessment studies conducted by the College; assisting in the collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of data to support administrative decision-making and strategic planning and assessment used for demonstrating institutional effectiveness.  The Associate Director of Institutional Research, Planning, Assessment and Effectiveness is also responsible for coordinating student assessment of faculty and analysis of data; facilitating the development of an awareness of outcomes assessment within the College community; providing resource support for unit activities related to outcomes assessment; communicating technical information in oral, written and graphic form to individuals with varying backgrounds; and assisting in the planning, assessment and institutional effectiveness activities through the use of TracDat, an online assessment management system.

A master's degree with appropriate foundation in statistical analysis research methodology or a related field with analytical background; three to five years of progressively responsible experience in a higher education setting, as well as, demonstrated competence in planning, assessment and institutional research/effectiveness activities and the use of computer systems, statistical packages such as Windows, microcomputer applications, SPSS and SAS; knowledge of and experience with research design, data processing, word processing, database management systems, statistical techniques and use of current information technology.  Exemplary written and verbal communication skills are required. 

                                                    

Position:  Sports Information Director

Wiley College has an immediate opening for the position of Sports Information Director. The primary responsibilities of the position are to: oversee production of media guides, publications and game-day materials for all sports; oversee production of social media, campus radio broadcasts and coordinates campus broadcasting with media to promote athletics programs; assign staff coverage for each sport as needed; oversee maintenance of the athletic website; serves as the public relations agent for the Unit of Athletics; promotes positive relations with media representatives in the community and surrounding areas; oversee supplies and materials to ensure accurate statutes for all sports; provide game-day management for all athletic events; solicit ads for programs; and coordinates NAIA nominations for players and teams, and along with academic All-American nominations.  A bachelor’s degree is required with a minimal of two years experience in a sports information environment.  Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, computer skills, and experience in management and marketing.  


Position:   Residence Center Manager

Salary:     Commensurate with Experience

The Residence Center Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the residence hall and will foster a positive, friendly, secure, and clean community that is conducive to study and living as well as promote an environment of social and intellectual growth. The successful candidate will work with the Director and the Assistant Director of Residential Life to provide supervision to Resident Assistants; maintain an effective collaborative and working relationship within the division and with other campus offices including facilities and maintenance, security, and Information Systems and Technology; conduct a weekly walk-through of the residence hall and report facility and safety concerns to the appropriate office; and maintain confidentiality and respect for the privacy of the students.

The interested candidate will, also, interpret College regulations and housing procedures to hall residents and ensure adherence to the policies and procedures of the residence hall and the College; secure the residence hall exit and entrance doors during the hours of his/her shift; record all incidents on the Daily Log; work closely with the residence life directors in making and filing various reports; seek to recognize signs of campus unrest and work to help residents understand the issues they encounter; adjudicates minor disciplinary infractions according to established policies and procedures. Interested candidates must have a high school diploma; bachelor's degree is preferred. Must possess the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, faculty and staff, and visitors. Position:  Assistant or Associate Professor of Physical Education

Wiley College has an immediate opening for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Physical Education for the 2012-2013 academic year. A doctorate in Physical Education or evidence of completion of all course work at the doctoral level, i.e. ABD with completion of dissertation within six months to one year is required. Applicants will be required to demonstrate teaching ability and operational knowledge of office and educational technology. Preference will be given to a candidate with a doctorate and at least 18 graduate hours in Physical Education.

 

The primary goal of this position is to teach undergraduate education and related courses that will attract and retain education majors. Primary responsibilities include collaboration with the faculty of the Division of Education to develop interdisciplinary and synchronized courses that will improve retention of students in the education disciplines; implementation of scholarly activities including procurement of teaching and research grants;  participation in student recruitment and the promotion of education majors both in and outside Wiley College; academic advisement to assigned students, including the development and monitoring of their degree plans;  assistance with career counseling; and preparation of students for internships and graduate studies.

 

The successful candidate will balance teaching, research, and office hours to promote peer and student interactions in support of the mission and vision of the College; participate actively in assessment activities for program effectiveness as well as in student activities; serve on committees of the College as assigned; and perform other duties assigned by the Lead Professor, Dean, or the Vice President for Academic Affairs.
