The Tom Joyner Foundation has named Wiley College its "School of the Month" for February 2016.   As a featured  school of the month, the College will showcase its academic programs, history, facts, accomplishments, and achievements  on the "Tom Joyner Morning Show," a nationally syndicated radio show that airs each weekday in 115 markets and boasts nearly eight million listeners.  The show will  dedicate segments to promote  Wiley College and will encourage its listeners and  alumni of the College to  give back to Wiley.

A major component of the Foundation's School of the Month program is its Hercules Scholarship. Each Thursday,  the radio show grants a $1,500 Hercules Scholarship to a male student attending the featured college  who is excelling academically and possesses strong character.  The  name of each Hercules scholar is announced on the morning show.  In addition, each scholar is interviewed and his profile is featured on the Tom Joyner Foundation's website and  Facebook page.

The School of the Month Program is the signature program of the Tom Joyner Foundation.  Each year, the Foundation selects 11 historically black colleges and universities to elevate their visibility  "to assist these institutions in broadening and strengthening their efforts to raise money" and to increase students' awareness of  HBCUs as viable choices for their higher education.

One hundred percent of donations  made to Wiley College as a School of the Month will go toward Wiley College scholarships and programs.  Donations should be mailed to P.O. Box 630495, Irving, Texas,  75063-0495.  Checks should be payable to the Tom Joyner Foundation.  Supporters can also make donations online at tomjoynerfoundation.org.  For more information, please call (903) 927-3307.
