The Student Support Services Program

The TRIO Student Support Services Program (SSSP) is a federally-funded program designed to assist low-income, first-generation college students with an academic need. The complement of services provided includes tutoring, financial planning, graduate school assistance, academic advisement, cultural events, and a variety of structured learning experiences. If a student is accepted for participation in the Student Support Services Program, the candidate is monitored from the time of enrollment to the date of graduation based upon an individualized academic support plan and the student's progression and performance. This program also supports and oversees the activities of the Student Academic Success Center.
