Friends of Wiley College Library
The Friends of Wiley College Library exists to support our faculty, staff, students and children within the Wiley College community through various reading events held throughout the year. Some of these events include: October Reading Fest for Children, Children’s Christmas Story Hour, Summer Reading Program, An Evening of Poetry, The Big Read and other One Book Projects. The Friends of the Library membership dues go toward the purchasing of new editions, special displays and assist in establishing programs and initiatives that enhance the overall offerings available at the Thomas Winston Cole Sr., Library.

- Access JSTOR Database
JSTOR provides a full-text archive of almost 200 core scholarly journals in the humanities, social sciences, and sciences. The service digitizes and provides enhanced indexing to complete collections of these journals, starting with the very first issues, many of which date from the 1800s. Current issues are not included and there is a fixed period of time, from 1 to 5 years, between the most recent issue of any journal and the most recent issue available in JSTOR. Cole Library has the Arts & Sciences I and II Collections, which include some journals from various disciplines with an emphasis on social sciences and education. A very extensive journal archive.

Credo Reference is an excellent source for general
reference needs. It is good for both first time researchers and those who have
expertise in the area. This database offers many highly-regarded titles from over
70 publishers. This database covers every major subject from the
world's best publishers of reference.
Access TexShare Databases

TexShare is a statewide consortium of academic and public libraries as well as libraries of clinical medicine. It is administered by the Texas State Library and Archives Commission. TexShare provides access to approximately 60 electronic databases for research. TexShare also provides access to the online library catalogs of the 293 library members which have them. Interlibrary loan services may be available from these member libraries.
If you seek articles for business, legal matters or just the latest news, LexisNexis(r) is the database you will want to utilize. LexisNexis(r) provides extensive resources for accounting, environmental studies, health and medical care, government and politics, consumer information and people. Almost every discipline may benefit from using this resource.
