Academics

Academic Affairs is responsible for the overall coordination of the educational program of the College. Academic Affairs is comprised of four degree-granting divisions: Business and Technology, Education, Sciences, and Social Sciences and Humanities. A fifth division, General Education and Special Studies (GESS), although not a degree-granting unit, coordinates the general core liberal arts education requirements and provides placement testing, initial advisement and support for freshmen and transfer students. Placement testing is done in collaboration with the Office of Institutional Research, Planning and Assessment. GESS also tracks the developmental education services of the College.

Academic Affairs also is responsible for activities of the Thomas Winston Cole, Sr. Library and Resource Center, the Student Support Services Unit, the Upward Bound Program and the Evening and Weekend Education Program for non-traditional students.

DEGREES, MAJORS, CONCENTRATIONS AND MINORS

Wiley College offers four degrees: The Associate of Arts (A.A.), the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), the Bachelor of Science (B.S.), and the Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.).
