The Director of College Counseling position is designed to create, provide and maintain services and counseling and prevention programs consistent with the needs of the College, the division and the institutionís mission. The director will manage the day-to-day operations and supervise the Counseling Center, Disability Services, Post-Baccalaureate Service, and Career Counseling and Planning ensuring that the desired outcome measures as set forth in the strategic plan and maintain the effectiveness of the overall programs.
The director will provide leadership, consultation, and training for department staff, faculty, administration, and students as well as serve as a liaison between Wiley College Counseling Center, Administration, and the community at large. Additionally, the office provides personal, individual and/or group counseling, develops treatment plans and conducts case management, develops a referral process and plan of care and writes grant proposals for funding to enhance programming. A doctorate is preferred or masterís degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or Human Services field required. A minimum of three to five years experience counseling in a college or school setting is required.
