Description:
The Webmaster will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing site architecture and navigation including all redesigns and supporting upgrades, implementing and maintaining the Jenzabar Internet Campus Solution (JICS) web portal, and associated databases under direction of the Vice President for Information Systems and Technology. The Webmaster will be responsible for providing guidance for the system on appropriate technologies and techniques for web-based application development and deployment; advising internal groups on all issues relating to the website, including content development, dynamic Internet technologies and techniques that may be employed to support organizational initiatives; maintaining all Internet (and intranet) documentation for systems in use and/or developed; and providing formal (and informal training) to staff on features and functions of Internet and intranet applications. A high school diploma is required; an associate’s degree or completion of first two (2) years of Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, computer information systems, or related program is desired. Minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience with website development, content management and application development in a complex networked environment utilizing Microsoft products required. Expert-level proficiency in (X)HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Microsoft .NET 1.1/2.0, Active Server Pages using VBScript, TSQL. Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft technologies and products, such as Microsoft Visual Studio, IIS and SQL Server, SharePoint Services, etc. Excellent working knowledge of database design principles and experience with databases, preferably SQL Server, in a web-based environment. Ability to design and develop website programs. Excellent layout and design skills, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Exceptional oral and written communication skills, organizational and project planning skills. Working knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS).
