Description:
The Database Administrator will assist with managing the development, implementation, and support of Wiley College’s Jenzabar EX data management system/platform. The candidate will be responsible for assisting both the College and the Division of Information Systems and Technology to meet and remain consistent with organizational goals and objectives; review technical team deliverables for accuracy and completeness; and assist with the development of policies and procedures and involvement in long-range planning of the technical infrastructure and architecture of CRM technology platforms. The successful candidate will assist the project director in the development and implementation of new systems using a consistent Systems Development Lifecycle; provide technical direction in the conceptual analysis, design, development, deployment, maintenance, and enhancement of advanced technology applications projects, specifically Jenzabar EX (CRM) and JICS/E-Racer (LMS); support the organization through educating and training various College divisions; and assist with the management and maintenance of complex enterprise applications and other common technology components, specifically Jenzabar EX and the Jenzabar Internet Campus Solution/E-Racer (JICS/E-Racer).
A bachelor’s degree in a technology related area such as Computer Science or Computer Information Systems is required; a master’s degree in Business Administration or master’s degree in a related area is preferred. Candidate must have experience in higher education and three to five years of professional experience, with 2+ years hands-on experience in database administration in MS SQL, Oracle, and/or Mysql, 2+ years hands-on experience in enterprise application environment that consists of Jenzabar EX and JICS/E-Racer, 2+ years of experience in development of JICS/E-Racer portlets. The candidate must possess an understanding of emerging technologies and their application within the academic environment and possess server technology experience including, but not limited to, Apache, IIS 5/6.0, Tomcat, Zope, WAMP, Active Directory, and Exchange.
