Wiley College has an immediate need for an Instructor of Mathematics for the 2013-2014 academic year. A master’s degree in Mathematics is required. Teaching experience is preferred and high school level teaching is desirable. The primary goal of this position is to teach college preparatory courses to freshmen, participate in recruitment and the promotion of mathematics majors both in and outside of the Wiley College campus; and providing academic advisement of assigned students. The successful candidate must, also, maintain appropriate office hours; support the mission of the College and statement of vision; participate personally in College programs and student activities, on committees, and perform other duties as may be assigned by the department head or the Vice President for Academic Affairs. Candidates should have a strong commitment to teaching undergraduate students in an ethnically diverse environment and experience in cutting-edge uses of information technology to advance learning.
