Aliesha Carruthers — RRAC Player of the Week

WACO, Texas -- Aliesha Carruthers of Wiley College was named as a Red River Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Co-Player of the Week for the dates of Feb. 4-10. Carruthers, a senior forward from Houston, averaged 23.0 points per game in a 2-0 week for the Lady Wildcats. She posted 16 points and four reounds in a 69-47 win over Jarvis Christian College (Texas), then poured in 30 points and grabbed six boards in an 84-82 come-from-behind victoriy over 19th-ranked Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas). Carruthers was 10-of-13 from the field against OLLU and 16-of-24 for the week. Ranked 22nd in the nation, Wiley held on to second place in the RRAC standings at 14-2 with an overall mark of 20-3.
