Aliesha Carruthers — RRAC Player of the Year

Senior forward Aliesha Carruthers capped a fantastic weekend at the Red River Athletic Conference tournament Monday, earning the tournament's Most Valuable Player award in helping lead Wiley College to its first conference championship in 20 years. The news only got better for Carruthers, who scored a team-high 21 points in Wiley's title-clinching 83-73 win over Our Lady of the Lake. Moments later, she was also named the RRAC's Player of the Year following a vote of the league's head coaches. Carruthers averaged 16.3 points per game to lead Wiley College during the season. The Lady Wildcats head to Frankfort, Kentucky, next week to compete in the NAIA Division I Women's Basketball tournament.
