Fernandez Earns RRAC Player of the Week Award

Wildcats baseball player Eduardo Fernandez was selected as the Wiley Player of the Week and he also captured the Red River Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week award for March 5-11. Fernandez, a junior first baseman from Juncos, Puerto Rico, drove in 12 runs in a 4-1 week for the Wildcats. In the first game, he launched four home runs and collected six RBIs in the second game of that double-header. In the opener of a three0game series with Southwestern Assemblies of God University, Fernandez exploded again for a homer and four RBIs. He finished the week going 7-for-15 at the plate with eight runs scored and four walks.
