Mbah Earns RRAC Player of the Week Award

Lady Wildcats basketball player Chinwendu Mbah was selected as the Wiley Player of the Week and she also captured the Red River Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week award for the week of February 6-12. Mbah posted averages of 20.3 points and 10.7 rebounds per game in 3-0 week for the Lady Wildcats. She compiled 27 points and 16 boards in a 74-58 victory over Bacone College to open the week. She also contributed 12 points toward a 98-77 win over the University of the Southwest. Mbah capped her run with 22 points and 10 rebounds to clinch a victory over Huston-Tillotson University. She sank 25-of-52 shots from the field and 11-of-12 free throw attempts for the week. The Lady Wildcats will continue conference play at home versus Texas Wesleyan University on Thursday, February 16. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. and the Wildcats tip-off at 7:30 p.m in the Alumni Gymnasium.
