Carruthers Earns Wiley Player of the Week Award

Lady Wildcats basketball player Aliesha Carruthers was selected as the Wiley Player of the Week and she also captured the Red River Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Co-Player of the Week award for the week of January 16-22. Carruthers contributed in all phases of the Lady Wildcats’ only game of the week which was a conference victory over Texas College. She posted 18 points, six rebounds, five assists and six steals. Carruthers made 5-of-10 shots from the field including three three-pointers. The Lady Wildcats are currently ranked fifth in conference and face the number one team, the LSU-Shreveport Lady Pilots, on Thursday, January 26 in Louisiana.
