Wilson earns Wiley Player of the Week Award

Sophomore April Wilson of Queens, New York, was selected as Wiley Player of the Week for the week of March 12-19. During the week Wildcats and Lady Wildcats Track & Field Team traveled to Jacksonville, Texas for the Lon Morris Invitational. The Lady Wildcats 4 X 400 Relay team performed exceptionally well at the track meet. Keneisha Moore ran the first leg and kept pace with the other teams as Jawanna Lamb ran the second leg for Wiley. Danielle Daniels used her quick speed and passed an opponent as she ran the third leg for the Lady Wildcats. Wilson then received the baton from Daniels and shockingly caught and passed the leader before the finish line, giving the Lady Wildcats a huge victory as they finished first in the 4 x 400 Relay. The Lady Wildcats finished second overall in the Lon Morris Invitational.
