Banks earns RRAC Player of the Week Award

Senior Brittany Smith-Banks of Mesquite, Texas, was selected as the Wiley Player of the Week as well as Red River Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the dates of December 6-12. Smith-Banks averaged 22.5 points per game in a pair of wins for the Lady Wildcats last week. She exploded for 31 points in a 76-57 win over conference opponent, Paul Quinn College then followed with 14 points and four assists to blast Dallas Christian University, 57-49. Banks made 21-of-42 shots from the field for Wiley, which is 1-1 against RRAC competition, and 4-5 overall.
