Burbano Earns RRAC Setter of the Week Award

Junior Eileen Burbano of Cali, Colombia, was selected as the Wiley Player of the Week as well as Red River Athletic Conference Setter of the Week for the dates of October 31-November 6. Burbano is also the reigning Wiley Female Athlete of the Year. During the week she averaged 12 assists per game as she helped Wiley to a 2-0 week with wins over Texas Wesleyan University and Southwestern Assemblies of God University. Burbano also had 26 digs overall against the two teams. Last week Wiley finished the season in the 2010 RRAC Championship Game with a 3-0 loss to the #2 ranked team in the nation, Texas Brownsville. The Lady Wildcats finished 2nd place in the RRAC Tournament for the second consecutive year and this was their third consecutive year to reach the finals. This season, Burbano’s outstanding stats earned herself a selection on the 2010 RRAC First Team All-Conference.
