Lopez earns RRAC Hitter of the Week Award

Senior Jessica Lopez of Moca, Puerto Rico, was selected as the Wiley Player of the Week as well as Red River Athletic Conference Hitter of the Week for the dates of October 3-October 10. Lopez plays right side for the Lady Wildcats. During the week she was credited with 32 kills in a 1-1 week for the Lady Wildcats. She had 13 kills and 13 digs in a 3-2 loss to SAGU and another double double (19 kills, 13 digs) in the sweep of Texas Wesleyan University. Lopez had a hitting percentage of .468 with only three errors in 62 attempts. Wiley is now 5-3 in the RRAC and 12-7 overall as they look to continue their win streak this Friday at home against Huston-Tillotson University at 7:00 p.m.
