Back to Spotlights | Back to Home Page Chalar wins Wiley Player of the Week Award Sophomore Yuly Chalar of Cali, Colombia, was selected as the Wiley Player of the Week for the dates of September September 19-26. Chalar plays outside hitter for the Lady Wildcats. During the week she helped Wiley dominate Texas Southern University in three sets (3-0), but then later lost back to back conference games on the road to The University of Texas Brownsville and Our Lady of the Lake University, both games in four sets (1-3). Wiley is now 9-6 overall and 2-2 in conference play as they look to bounce back against arch rival Texas College on Thursday, September 30 at 7:00 p.m. in the Alumni Gymnasium.
