Dr. Walter Shumate, FACULTY

Dr. Walter Shumate is Associate Professor of Chemistry and Associate Director of Upward Bound. He participated as a research fellow at the Department of Homeland Security Summer Research Team Program for Minority-Serving Institutions at Michigan State University in 2006. He serves as faculty coordinator for the Wiley College Science Club, co-coordinator for the Wiley College Chess Club and faculty sponsor for the Student National Medical Association (SNMA).
