Celebrating the Church speaker shares points for servant leadership
The Reverend William R. "Bill" Taylor offered five points to aid servant leaders during their journey when he spoke to the Wiley Family Tuesday morning for the Celebrating The Church worship service.
Point One: It is not about me.
"When we follow Jesus Christ, we have to remember: 'It is not about me.'"
Point Two: The person in need is number one.
"Whoever is hurting spiritually or physically, we must put them first."
Point Three: Spend yourself for others.
"Spend yourself for others with no thought of what you will or might get back in return."
Point Four: Be willing to do those things no one else wants do.
"Jesus calls us to serve the least, the lost, and the last."
Point Five: Keep our eyes focused on Jesus.
"As Christians, as we serve others, we must always keep our eyes focused on Jesus. If we do this, even when we fail, Jesus will be with us."
