Rev. Dr. Jesse E. Mayes, ALUMNUS

The Reverend Dr. Jesse E. Mayes, a 1959 graduate of Wiley College, served as pastor and interim pastor for seven churches in the Baltimore-Washington Conference for 22 years before retiring. He earned a Master of Divinity degree from Howard University in 1983 and Doctor of Ministry degree in 1989. A native of Dangerfield, Texas, Dr. Mayes has received numerous awards for excellent service and served on numerous boards and committees including the Board of Ordained Ministry and Board of Pensions. Dr. Mayes is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and currently resides in Poinciana, Florida. He is a member of the First United Methodist Church of Kissimmee, Florida.
